It's the time of year when Santa Claus invites one and all to celebrate the coming Christmas Season with Family and Friends by riding the rails onboard the Whippany Railway Museum's SANTA CLAUS SPECIAL excursion trains.

The 10-mile, 45-minute round trip excursion from Whippany to Roseland and return allows riders time to enjoy the Spirit of the Season and the merriment on the train. All of our past trips over the last 20 years have been virtual sell-outs, and seeing the excited faces of the children as they climb aboard the Christmas Holiday-decorated trains, ensures an afternoon of Family Fun. |

During each excursion, Santa makes his way through the train and visits with every child onboard. Santa's helpers follow along, giving the kids a special gift from Santa. Be sure to bring your camera and take pictures of the kids with Santa, so they can always remember their day onboard the train! |

| Advance mail order or online ticket reservations are strongly recommended! Make a check or money order payable to: Whippany Railway Museum, P.O. Box 16, Whippany, NJ 07981-0016. Tickets are ONLY available through the Museum's mail order and online process and not at any other location or mail-order site. Online tickets can be purchased from our ONLINE TICKET STORE. (Please note that online ticket sales end for a particular weekend's trips at 11:59 PM on the Wednesday before that weekend.) You may also order by mail - all mail order ticket orders MUST include a large (4x9.5 inch) self-addressed, stamped return envelope, and should indicate a preferred excursion date and departure time, as well as an alternate date and time. |

Mail-order reservations will be accepted through November 19, 2010. Remaining tickets will be sold online and then on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of each trip. Ride, schedule, equipment and ticket availability subject to change without notice. The excursion train consists of a historic Diesel locomotive and enclosed passenger coaches. |

The Museum will be open from 12 Noon to 4 PM each day of operation. Admission (separate from train ride fare) is $1.00 per Adult and 50 cents per Child for the continual maintenance and restoration of our Museum building/grounds and exhibit collection. A Gift Shop is located within the Museum building. Light refreshments are available at the Museum's Snack Depot. |

The SANTA CLAUS SPECIAL is a fundraising effort to benefit the Whippany Railway Museum, a non-profit Operating Heritage Railroad organization that is staffed by volunteers. Donations from the public help to keep the Museum operational, but funds are still required to support this unique New Jersey treasure. Proceeds from the train rides will further enhance the Museum's mission and its Historic Preservation efforts. |
